When Dave saw the video from the previous post he thought the gears might be a touch on the tall side. It helps a lot to give three-to-five turns on the pedals from a dead stop. It’s easier on the clutch, too.
Anyway, tonight, if the rain finally quits, I’m going to do a couple of GPS speed runs to see what my top speed is right now. In Ohio, the top speed on level ground cannot exceed 20 mph, unless you want to license the vehicle as a motorcycle.
I’ll send my current top speed and the tooth count of the transmission (not the wheel!) to Dave. If I need to reduce the top speed to stay legal, and get a little more acceleration/hill-climbing into the bargain, Dave is going to send me another sprocket. Nice outfit to do business that way.
